About Us

MYLA is an organization formed to serve the Muslim youth and community in the Greater Austin area. One summer, we noticed alot of kids in the neighborhood wanted to play soccer together. We decided to get them all together once a week to play matches and form friendships. 

We learned the kids wanted to learn and grow in their skills, so we created teams and introduced drills. The experience was a great success and so many relationships were formed not only between the kids but with the parents as well. 

MYLA was established to spread this success to other neighborhoods and areas in Austin and bring the whole community together.
